For Supervisor-I posts D02 to D05, relevant full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering qualifications are also permitted where a diploma is prescribed. For Junior Maintainer posts D06 to D09, the required ITI qualification is mandatory, and a higher qualification alone cannot replace the prescribed ITI qualification.
Only full-time regular courses are considered. The prescribed qualifications must be from the recognised institutions specified in the notification.

Employees may be posted at NCRTC offices, workplaces, project units, or its subsidiaries/joint ventures. Shift work may also be assigned according to business requirements.

NCRTC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process consists of:

NCRTC Medical Examination
Candidates shortlisted after the CBT have to qualify the prescribed medical fitness test.
- Supervisor-I D01 to D05: A-3 medical standard
- Junior Maintainer D06 to D09: B-1 medical standard
For A-3, the notification specifies distant vision of 6/9, 6/9 and near vision Sn 0.6, 0.6, with prescribed requirements for colour, binocular, field and night vision.
For B-1, the distant vision requirement is 6/9 and 6/12, with near vision Sn 0.6, 0.6 where applicable. The notification also specifies limits on spectacle power. LASIK surgery is not permitted under the stated standards.
NCRTC Recruitment 2026 Probation and Surety Bond
Selected candidates will undergo a two-year probation period according to company policy.
