CSIR-UGC NET Result 2026 Date

NTA declared the scores of the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination on 29 Aug 2026. The later public notice dated 10 Sept 2026 confirmed that the Result and Rank had been uploaded and candidates could download or print their scorecards.

CSIR NET Result 2026: Qualified Candidates

The CSIR-HRDG result document contains the roll numbers and ranks of candidates qualifying under different categories.

Category 1

Category 1 candidates qualify for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and are also eligible for Assistant Professor, subject to the applicable eligibility conditions.

The result includes:

  • JRF (NET) CSIR: 1,413 candidates
  • JRF only: 20 candidates
  • JRF (NET) UGC: 1,856 candidates
  • JRF only under UGC: 19 candidates

This gives a total of 3,308 candidates listed under Category 1.

Category 2

A total of 4,167 candidates have been listed under Category 2.

NOTE: The official cut-off notice also states that there is no separate cut-off for Parts A, B, and C. Marks from all parts are considered together for preparing the merit list.

Minimum Benchmark

For all three categories, the minimum benchmark is:

  • 33% for General, EWS and OBC candidates
  • 25% for SC, ST and PwD candidates

However, applicants must also meet the subject-wise and category-wise cut-off applicable to their category.
